How do you ask a supplier the current stock position of an item in an email conversation?

I need to ask my supplier the current stock position of an item inorder to quote my customer. What is the correct way to write in an business email?
Usually, this is my reply...

Dear Mr..

1. Specify stock status/position of/for the below item.
2. Kindly advise the stock status/position of the below mentioned item.

Any help in this regard would be appreciated.
