Why is this?

Recently, I've been seeing a bunch of questions on the front few pages that haven't been active since 2010-2011. I was wondering why people decided to ressurect these questions when most of the posters of the questions arn't even on anymore. No offence intended. Thnx :D

I agree. I saw one question about suicide that was almost four years old. Doesn't make much sense, does it?

At one time, questions over a couple months old were not rotated back into the list when they were answered. They remained in the historical files so the new answers could be read through the search and category features but they didn't reappear in the list. Something has changed.

It would be best if they went back to the first way...
I wonder if it has something to do with the "Can you help them?" and "You may want to know" links at the bottom of every page. Maybe someone really started paying attention to those, clicked, and started answering those old questions... idk...
