How to get my mobility scooter to work

hi I have a kymco healthcare mini mobility scooter
had it from a lady who has not used it for over a year .... batter full and horn works but the unit will not drive forward or reverse or even when I engage the switch to push it from behine it still has the wheels locked ....
dont have the information book but have changed the fuse buit still no movement
is there a relay or something on this unit ... the previous owner did say she had this problem before but dont know what was done to rectify it
any help would be brill

could be rusty connections or need a new battery all together,ask a disability advice engineer

Hi.I just started repairing scooters Some of the problems you are describing could be the reset button has popped out push it back in and it will reset it self.I think it might be the micro switch that controls the electromagnetic brake You say you don't hear the clicking noises when you turn the scooter on and that noises is the brake releasing so the machine can go forward or back.the brake is attached to the end of the motor inside is a little micro switch that may need to be replaced.It is connected to lever that puts it in drive or neutral.Hope this helps you.
