Who do I talk to, to get my job back at dollar general?

I was working at Dollar General in Perry, Florida from 02/2004 to 03/2004. I was told I was good at my job as a cashier. Then 2 months later, I was told I was Laid off because they couldn't afford to pay me. But 2 weeks later, they hired new people. I tried to get a job back at Dollar General in Perry, FL but they told me they couldn't hire me back because of a policy they says they can't hire former employees. But it wasn't my fault I lost my job there. What can I do to get my job back at Dollar General?

can you contact a regional manager/office to ask someone else. maybe the staff there doesn't really understand the policy.
