I definitely don't like it, but the best thing I can do is be the best person I can be, and be as helpful, loving, kind, etc. as I can be to others. Like Ghandi said, "Be the change you want to see in the world." :-)
Thanks a lot for that nice answer skyDancer. To be completely honest with you, I don't like Gandhi very much at all. I am an Indian but believe Gandhi was a racist who didn't want freedom just wanted the Brits out. Without them the country has become a third world nightmare. With the Brits in India I would be having a high standard of living in my own country rather than take the crap of the people in whose country I now live. Also one person being the change isn't enough. It has to be a whole lot of people working in unison. Hope that doesn't offend you or anyone. Just my views which I believe to be true.
To be honest, I know very little about Ghandi and colonial Indian. I just like that quote.
I completely agree that in order for systemic change to happen, larger groups of people do need to mobilize. However, even that begins at the individual level. :-)
