My phone was taken up by my school. but there's a text message I really need to see. anyway to look?

I got my phone taken up, but I REALLY need to see if my friend texted me something because I had asked an important question. He doesn't live close by; and that's our only way to communicate. Any way I could read it online somehow? I have the iPhone 4 from AT&T. REALLY need help!

I would recommend actually calling each other and not just texting. Text sparingly and call often.
No, you'll just have to wait to get the phone back from the school.

He's right. Cell phone companies don't allow you to view messages online because of privacy issues, and also to limit their liability.
I'm not sure if this is true or not, but on a TV show once someone said when you get a NEW phone you can check your OLD messages. You most likely don't want to go so far as to buy a new phone, considering you'll be getting this one back. My sister is going to get a cellphone, but since she doesn't have one yet, pretty much all I know about cellphones is that you press the numbers in the right order and then you can talk to someone. :) Sorry that I wasn't much help. If you want to watch the show I told you about it's Good Luck Charlie, the episode is "Butt-Dialing Duncans." In that episode, someone had his phone taken away by the teacher, and two other guys try to take it. If it's something you'll need to read immediately, you might have to do that. ("That" is sneaking into the classroom while no one's there and stealing your cellphone back.) However, I am not encouraging you to do this. The teacher will notice that it is gone. So I guess what I'm saying is, either buy a new one, wait to get it back, or steal it back and get in trouble. If I were you, I'd choose the second one.
