Birth control.i'm slightly confused

i'm new to the birth control ocella, and I finished the first pack and took the white pills got my period, now i'm almost done with my second pack to I take the white pills or no?? its just so confusing. Was I not suppose to take the white pills in the first pack and wait till the last pack?? I need answers help!!
