Travelling in Asia as a 17 year old

Im 17 years old, and thinking (searching for tickets) bout travelling in 2 months through Thailand and Malaysia. Am I too young? Is there something I need to watch out for?

I would not advise a 17 year old to travel alone. Even with a traveling partner you should stay off the back streets and spend your time in public, crowded areas. Not just in Thailand and Malaysia, but throughout the world there are some very mean people willing to prey on young people.

Don't get involved in any kind of money transactions in the street.
