I have liked this girl for 4 years and we started talking more and now we are dating I have always felt comfortable around her but now that we are dating we both agree if feels awkward. Why is that because I REALLY dont want to lose her!!!

It could be because you guys have already been in the friendzone. This could make having an intimate relationship a little awkward at first. If the awkwardness doesn't go away after a few months then you should just be friends.
