Can norethisterone reset my period?

I have a romantic trip planned and my period is gonna fall on that exact week. I read about Norethisterone, but my concern is that if I take it during the trip, all the horrible side effects are going to make me sick. So, my question is can I take it a month earlier and reset my period to a later date, so that when the trip comes, I will be period free and still not take any drugs? And if I do stop it after 7 days, will the period be too long?

It has been promoted as useful for that purpose but you should not take it without approval of your doctor. Read the long list of possible side effects:

It's promoted as useful for delaying a period, but is it used to reset it? That's what I can't find any info about.
Again, I would get that information from a doctor that understands your complete medical history.
