DVD converted mp4 file can't be played by nook hd

I was trying to load files from a DVD to convert to .mp4 files for NOOK HD, but received the following error message after transferring: "This file cannot be played on the tablet”. What am I doing wrong?

It could be the setting of the screen resolution or the NOOK is missing the Codec for MP4. Google "NOOK HD mp4 codec."

My guess is your files are too large to be put on Nook HD, because Android tablets including Galaxy Tab, Asus Transformer Prime, Sony Tablet, Toshiba Thrive, Kindle Fire, and Nook Tablet that only recognize SD cards formatted in FAT 32, this limits a single file size less than 4GB. Then how to split large files into small pieces and transfer to android tablet? This webpage I find can help you. Just take a look.

I guess that the export codec is not Nook HD's supported video format. Nook HD Tablet video format is limited to MP4, 3GP, WEBM, H.263, H.264 video. You'd better use a professional DVD Ripper for your NOOK HD tablet.

I am using "Brorosft DVD Ripper". It is designed to rip and convert DVD movies for all kinds of tablets, smartphones and more potable devices. The most important is that the included "Android > Nook HD" profile will show you the best video and audio settings.
