Can a judge overule a law in court?(motering offences) thanks danny

A lower court judge can't just toss out a law legally passed by the legislative body so it is no longer enforced. He/she can rule it unconstitutional or rule in favor of the defendant in that court. Higher courts can overrule the lower court, setting precedents for how the law is applied.
