How to protect chalk paintings before framing

I have begun painting with oil based chalk. I need to know how to store the finished painting to prevent damaging the picture.

Spray them with clear acrylic and, for extra protection, mount them in a glass frame. If they are not to be displayed, put them in an opaque bag like the common black "garbage bag." Never store them in direct sunlight.
