My cat is lost already 4 months.What does that mean?please help.i am desperate

my cat is lost already 4 months.What does that mean?If he possible alive,will he walk away from my home like 40 miles that far? why is he doing that??I love him so much...Pls help..i am so desperate

I know its hard to accept, but you have probably sadly lost him, but I lost my cat for 2 weeks once, and he turned up 2 weeks and a bit later with a broken leg, poor thing!!
I know its hard, I have already lost 2 cats that were wayyy too young to die.
But you can always stay hopeful, just not TOO hopeful!! xxx
