I am having a problem in buiding my website for involving educational e-books.

The website I am creating is for educational use. It will consist of books categorized into pre-elementary, elementary and secondary levels, and classified into different genres such as science, literature, poetry, etc. The books will then be available for school use but will not be distributed or sold in any illegal means.

The problem goes right here:

Although I can download right from e-book download supporting sites present on the web, I just don't feel comfortable if I should simply download them from those sites. I am aware of the copyright law and this is what I'm considering now. What is the best thing for me to do? Can any professionals give me an advice regarding this case?

You should deal directly with the publisher and make sure you have their expressed, written permission for each title. I would highly recommend that you retain an experienced attorney to advise you. If you make a mistake, that leaves you highly exposed.
