How do you turn meters into nanometers?

I'm in Algebra 1. I will need more help on other questions. I catch on pretty fast. I really just need an example.
My math problem is find Jacob's and Sarah's height in nanometers .
Jacob's height is 1.7 meters
Sarah's height is 1.52 meters
Then give an example of something that would appropriately be measured in nanometers .

You times the metres by 1 000 000 000. I hope that helped! Nanometres are smaller than metres. So Jacobs height in nanometers would be 1700000000. I hope that helped!
