Discolouration on my knees, please help.

Due to an accident with my back the most comfortable position to sit when at home for me is to kneel. I have been kneeling for a few years now and I have discoloured my knees to a red-ish brown-ish colour. Because it is getting near to summer I'm wanting to wear dresses and shorts and such and I would like to know how to get rid of this discolouration quickly as possible, I go on holiday in 2 weeks that's all. :)
Thanks to everyone who answered.

It depends on what is causing the discoloration like is it bruising or abrasion etc. They would have to heal. The fastest solution would be to apply makeup the same color as your skin.

Just for your holiday, you could look into spray tanning (a salon with an organic version would be best) or a self tanner, maybe? Depends on your complexion and the number of shades difference between your skin and the discoloration.

I don't know what else could make it go away in 2 weeks, but over time, maybe you could get rid of it. You could *gently* scrub the one of those abrasive file things used on heels during pedicures. If you do it hard, you'll scrape your skin completely off, then you'll have to deal with scabs. You could also try fade creams on the area.

When kneeling, you'll want to figure out some way to protect your knees from the abrasion, or you won't make any progress.
