My 2004 dodge durango some times stalls what could be the reason

Intermittent failure of any of the components on the car that contribute to the engine running could cause it to stall. Too little gas, too much gas, plugs jumping fire, air filter etc. as well as it not being operated properly.

Get a copy of a Haynes or Chilton manual (sold at most auto parts stores) for that model and follow the troubleshooting guide.
