Should I say something to my boss?

I work for a small company, it's only so I can get some work experience on my CV. I don't get paid and work about 2 days a week. Today I made a mistake and my boss sent me a text message after I left to say that she thought I was lazy!

While I admit I made a mistake and am prepared to apologise and assure her it won't happen again, I resent being called lazy. Should I tell her that while I am sorry for my error I resent being called lazy or should I just apologise and leave it at that? I'm not sure whether staying quiet is being a pushover or taking the high road.

Thanks

If your purpose is to get some work experience, you just got some.

Bosses aren't always the most diplomatic and sometimes don't choose the best wording in their text messages but they have the authority to say whether you continue working there. I'd shrug it off, learn from it and preserve your chance to get some more work experience.

If being labeled "lazy" bothers you a lot, don't ever join the military. Most recruits would think their drill instructor was getting soft if he/she used the word lazy without four or five additional expletives to describe a mistake. :-)
