Rip a Blu-Ray movie and play it through the new AppleTV

Even though I buy the Blu-Ray, I expect my copyright rights including backup and being able to play from a server.
I use MacOS. I want to be able to rip a Blu-Ray movie and play it through the new AppleTV. It is crucial that I have the same video and audio quality as the raw Blu-Ray player playing directly to the TV. Will the Apple TV 3 be ale to play full 1080p/24 to a display with a ripped BD?

Hi, have you found the right product to rip your BDs for Apple TV? My friends and I all use Brorsoft Blu-ray Ripper for Mac to rip the BDs and DVDs to play on Apple TV 3. Here is the webpage for you. You can download a trial version to have a try, good luck!

Thanks, Monica66. I have successfully used the Brorsoft Blu-ray Ripper to rip my 3D blu-ray movie to a video format for streaming to Apple TV. I'm very glad that I can get the Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound after the conversion.

If you use the Blu-ray converter, you can easily find the Apple TV output format from the default profile.I use this one to play blu-ray on my mac.
