I'm missing something here

In the song "Grenade" by Bruno Mars, it says (Or at least what I hear) "Jump in front of a tree for ya." I don't see how this might help someone. Am I hearing this wrong or an I just missing something obvious?

Nothing in the lyrics about a tree. You probably just misheard the lyrics.
