MAC error message for PDF

As a support specialist, if a customer called and they were using a MAC computer and continually getting the same error that they need to download the most recent version of Adobe Reader (although they already had); what would be your next steps?
Please help.

If they're running a MAC, uninstall the Adobe Reader and install the free Apple PDF Reader.
