I'm 14 and my boyfriend is 18, what should I do?

I'm dating a guy that is 18 and I'm 14. I don't want him to get in trouble. I don't know what to do. If my parent gives approval then is it still illegal?

Yes, It's illegal. If he's arrested, charged and convicted, then he will go to jail as a sex offender... and even when he is released from prison, every time he moves for the rest of his life he will have to register with local authorities telling them where he lives. He won't be allowed to live near schools or places where children gather. His neighbors will be freaked out that he's going to molest their kids and try to run him off. He'll have a hard time finding rentals and buying a house. No judge would listen to you if you say you consent to the relationship... because legally you are to young to consent. What you think is dating is a crime called soliciting a minor. If your parents know his age and allow you to "date" they could be charged with child endangerment and you could be removed from their home.

The possible consequences of your actions could be devastating and life long. The fact that you two are even involved in this shows that you both are too immature to properly evaluate the consequences and make mature decisions. People get arrested every day for exactly this crime. It happens all the time to people who are foolish enough to think it won't happen to them. I caught my daughter with an older guy and called the police. He's still in jail because he's being held without bail until trial. Judges are very tough on pedophiles where I live.

If you care about him at all, don't risk his freedom. You both should find age appropriate partners.

Going to pick two people out of no where.. sense this is done everyday... and I guessing you guys have sex... nobody has to know..and get bc.. to be on the safe side and not just use a condom.. but in my eyes its only a four year differnce.. couples like these are common ... he's not going to jail -___- or getting introuble ... and I know people are gunna comment saying its wrong... well.. what about the 16 year old that married a 54 year old...hmmm that's wrong.. but yeah.. enjoy your relationship..ohh btw if he pressures you into anything kick his ass :p peace out...
