Where shall I get my first tattoo?

hey, I'm hoping to get my first tattoo for my birthday in just over a weeks time, and I was thinking of getting it on my hip, is that a really painful place to get it as it's close to bone? also will it look bad when I have kids when i'm older? I was also thinking of getting one on my shoulder, but I'm not sure! I think I have quite a low pain tolerance, but to be honest, I don't really know! any advice on what I should do? Thanks :)

Def dont get it on ur shoulder. Think of how cheap that would look with a wedding dress or prom gown. Women look so tacky that way. If u do this, think of future employment and dont get it a place that it will be visible and make u look unprofessional. And def think about how it will look when ur wrinkled up and strtched out at seventy years old.

Try temporary body art until ur sure. Find an Indian who does henna body art. That way u can get cool body art that u can change when u get bored with it. Henna mendi is one of my fav things about being Indian.

Anytime I'm not sure about what I'm doing, I wait until I'm sure.

I second the suggestions to BE SURE before you do it, and try something temporary first so you can see how it feels on you. Do remember, you're going to be a different person in 10, 20, 30 years and remember you're making this decision for that future person too. There are very few decisions that I made at age 20 that I would still have made at 30.

If you aren't 100% sure where you want it, then you're not ready to get one. I almost made that mistake when I turned 18 but I realized a few months after that I would have regretted it. Oh and laser removal is not always effective.

i think you should get it on your wrist or maybe ankle if you dont like this try your thigh they can be covered easily :) shoulders are awful unless you have a lot of tattoos but yeah I disagree about thinking twice about it! just do it if its what you want now theres always laser removal if you dont like it later :)

I am not an expert on tattoos whatsoever. But I have been wondering about them, too. I have heard that you can get a temporary tattoo(not from the Bozo Bucket prize box) and I think they last for up to three years. This way you can try it out as if it were real because they go on like a real tattoo and they will probably be gone before you are pregnant and get all stretched out...ewwXP
