"Mental Disorder" No different than a Racist Slur?

""""Something to think about""""
Do people really have a mental disorder?

Is it just the natural state of a person? (may need aid or person can aid self to succeed in life)

What do you think is disorder an ugly term?

its not a slur but to some it can be used as one because of the dogma and negative associations...
Some people have chemical imbalances in their bodies that affects their behavior. Others have had extraordinary experiences that affects the way they view the world and the way they think. A "mental disorder" is just the way such situations are described in the language. As long as the statement is factually correct, it's no more a slur than saying the transmission in your car doesn't work is somehow denigrating your ride.

I've known a few people with "mental disorders" that led very successful lives and many, many more that were perfectly normal and healthy that were total failures. It's not about success.
