I751 application filed joinly now separated. what should I do?

i just filed jointly with my legal husband but we are

currently separated but not divorced. I feel bad about this

having an impact on his legal status but I dont want to get

myself in trouble either. What should I do? I have no plans

on getting back together with him and I am even planning to

go to the county office to apply for food stamps, medical,

and cash aid/welfare on behalf of me and my daughter. Will

this have any effect on his pending i751 application or could

he still be approved if he gets lucky if his application ends

up not requiring an interview? Please let me know. I have

this feeling he is using me to get legal status I thought he

loved me in the beginning but now things have changed after

he received his residency. Please let me know should I

withdraw my part on the joint application to avoid further

problems or can I still go on with it and help him out? But

remember I need to go to the county office to put myself as

single with my daughter and I will be applying for aid

because I NEED it to help pay my rent! please let me know

thanks.

Before you get yourself in a bind that will affect your legal status, go over the above with Immigration. Call 1-800-375-5283 and explain your situation to USCIS.
