I have sticky fingers! (such a bad person)

I have a really bad habit of taking things that aren't mine. I think I might be kleptomaniac ! I steal a lot and a lot of the time it is unnecessary stuff. Today I stole a girl iPod just because I felt like it. She sent the iPod a message saying that the iPod is her whole world and she needs it. I never knew that stealing could really effect other people . Me and her have been messaging back and forth. She wants me to return it and I want to too because I feel so bad. But how do I return it and how do I keep it from happening again . I'm such a bad person . I hate when people steal from me but now I have turned into the thief !

You won't help yourself by labeling yourself as "bad." Do, however, acknowledge that you've got some behaviors that hurt you and other people, and vow to change them.

I think you're really asking how to return the iPod without having to face any consequences. That might not be possible, or even good for you. I doubt she would want to give you her address, but is there someplace you could mail it like her school or job?

If you don't want to do it again, make sure you remember how bad you feel right now... think of the harm you've caused this girl... think about how getting caught and experiencing legal ramifications would derail your plans for your future... think about how hard it is to launch a productive career with a rap sheet... remember that short term satisfaction rarely leads to anything good... think about how you feel when people steal from you.

Basically every time you're about to make a counterproductive decision, THINK ABOUT FUTURE ABRII and what she needs to be happy and healthy.

Turn the ipod in to the office at school and tell them you found it in the girls bathroom. Having "sticky fingers" is the first step to having a sticky butt that gets glued to a seat in a prison cell. Pay attention to what skyDancer is telling you.
