Beliefs in everyday life.

Could anyone describe a belief (doesn't matter what it is) that you would continue to believe even if solid logical evidence was supplied which demonstrated your belief could not possibly be true. So basically, is there any belief out there that you would still believe even if there was solid and logical evidence out there that said it couldn't be true? Please help by explaining in detail; thanks so much.

I can't think of anything. I practice a different religion. My religious teachers strongly encourage scientific dialogue and say when science disproves our teachings, we must accept what's proven to be true... that one of our purposes in life is to uncover what's true.

sorry. I would believe in all my christian beliefs the same as I do now even if the best team of scholors ant teachers found concrete evidence that Jesus did not rise from the grave or the bible is a hoax. there is nothing like that that u could prove to deter my faith.
is that wat u wanted? srry :(
A belief is something you think is true but it has not been or cannot be, proven. A fact is an idea that can be proven. That sounds simple enough but what often becomes a problem is how much evidence it takes to turn a belief into a fact. It's not the same for everybody. It would be impossible for me to believe something that can be proven beyond doubt however.

If something proved that my belief was wrong, then I would probably be shocked, and maybe in a little bit of temporary denial but I would eventually accept that I was wrong.
