Can I be forced to resign?

I have currently been in my job for 11 years but was a TUPE transfer in 2009 so my terms & conditions stay the same.I am currently of sick with depression & stress but the company want me to attend a discipinlary meeting but haven't stated what I am being dsciplined for & they haven't followed the correct procedures, when it comes to it can they force me to resign & if I didn't resign would they sack me ? As far as I am aware I haven't broken any company policies.

The answer depends on the labor laws where you live. You should talk to a local lawyer; one that specializes in labor law if you can find one.

~You need to find out what the laws are in your state about that issue.
~I believe that they can not get rid of you and they are trying to scare you.
~Because some times they think you will just walk and not research it before you walk.
~I would research the laws online/book or get a lawyer
