My wife has hair on her buttocks? Is this normal?

My wife has hair on her buttocks. I know women are supposed to have hair around the anus, and in the buttcrack, which she does, but she also has hair on her buttcheeks. Its thick and dark and covers quite a bit of her buttcheeks, and is very noticeable. I've never talked to her about it because I'm worried it would embarrass her. I'm sure she is aware of it, she always wears a 1 piece swim suit with shorts over it when we swim. The hair doesn't bother me at all. I love my wife, and she is a beautiful woman, and I don't care that her butt is hairy. I am just worried that she may have some sort of condition. Is this normal, or can it be a sign of something?

If there is an incorrect relationship between progesterone and estrogen levels in her body that could affect hair growth but there would most likely be other symptoms also. If the hair has been there since puberty and there are no other indications that her hormone system isn't functioning correctly, I'd just consider it an extra attraction. If the hair has recently changed or, there are other symptoms, I'd take her to an endocrinologist.

If she's never talked about it, be very careful how you address the subject.
