Would you go too this wedding?

If you know someone whos getting married and they invite you to come but you dont like them at all and I think her fiance is on the dl yet your family insists u go to the wedding, btw this person whos getting married doesnt care for you either, and shows it with her attitude along with her followers (who are also my family) and who tend too follow her around and will ignore me, and the only reason she invited you, is because you are family. im not fake nor phoney nor am I going to pretend I like you and kiss your ass, what would u do? ive been too about 4 weddings in my lifetime and I dont think ill be missing out on anything, i.e. another used up girl wearing white walking down the isle, so why go? my family says since shes family I should show my presences and enjoy myself.

If you go, you will waste a bit of your time and listen to a lot of plastic talk you don't want to hear but it will be over in a couple of hours.

If you don't go, you will put the rest of your family in the position of having to explain your absence and may create hard feelings within your family that can last for a long time.

It's your choice and if you can live with what you choose, that's what you should do. I would just suggest thinking of how your choice will affect everybody in the family, not just yourself.

If it were me, I wouldn't go.
I would go where people are sincere to me and not pretenting to like me.
The feeling of discomfort for me would be stressing me out, so I can only speak for me. I wouldn't even worry about it and sit it out.

If nothing else, go for the free meal and ditch the reception as soon as you get a piece of cake. The bride is going to be way to busy to talk to you anyway. Try to attach yourself to someone who's company you can stand for a couple of hours.

I'm with you, though. I actually don't like weddings; I personally think they're a little on the stupid side and a colossal waste of money. We went to the Justice of the Peace and I wore gray since it's my favorite color.
