Unemployment office

If the unemployment office sends you a letter stating that you are a new hire for a temp agency that you happened to visit and filled out an application for, yet they havent helped you find any work, and you are still unemployed, can you still be considered a new hire without actually working, due to you filling out an application with them and will unemployment benefits stop?
thanks

To be certain, call (or visit) them asap. If you don't think their answer is fair, repeal immediately. With anything unemployment or worker's comp related, the clock ticks pretty quickly and you need to be aggressive in protecting yourself.

If you think you need legal representation, contact your attorney or your local bar association to ask for resources.
