How can I become a famous singer?

I live in a small town. Im 13 Years old and I Want to follow my dreams by becoming famous. I dont know how to become noticed by real people though. Everybody in my family says I should become a famous singer.

"You tube" is one way to be discovered; if you're exceptionable

Try one of the TV talent shows that audition around the country like the "America's got talent" or American Idol. Put a lot of work in your act beforehand so you you will do a flawless performance.

Practice. Practice. Practice. Train. Train. Train. Study. Study. Study. It takes hoards of preparation.

You could go to music summer camps or audition for some of the national music boarding schools to finish your HS education. Keep up your grades as well so you can get into a college with a stellar music program that also has several performing groups that travel. Look for mentors at those schools and camps.

Following up with every answer i've skimmed across, they are all the right answers. But it depends on how hard you are willing to achieve this dream. Start by recording some videos, and uploading to youtube. And progress on that. Post videos to your websites that you use often. Do concerts at your school. And practice. Even if everybody tells you that you're good at singing, and that you're good enough now, think of what practice can do for your future.
