What's so scary about parenthood?

At least half of the women they have an unexpected pregnancy, their parnter bails on them. Im sorry, but WTF?! You helped create that child in your partner's body, so the least you can do is help. Grow up, Nut up, and be a freakin' man. Dont run away from YOUR mistake of having unpretected sex.It was your choice to not have a condom and it was the girl's choice to not be on birth control.
And if you dont want to be a parent, its called adoption.
And do you see the girl running away? I dont think so! She cant! So if you agree with me, please answer!

I don't disagree with your argument that males should accept responsibility for their half of a pregnancy but I do disagree with your statement that, "at least half" of the partners will bail. Only 25 percent of children in the US live in single parent homes and some of them are living with their father.

If you read the pregnancy questions here, it's obvious that many young people become sexually active long before they they understand what they're doing. In my view, anybody (male and female) that's considering sex should sacrifice some of their social networking time and learn the easy way before they do it, rather than spending their lifetime learning about parenthood the hard way.

The easy way:Planned Parenthood's teen pregnancy web site.

Well think about it for a minute, you have grown up dependin on other people and having other take care of you and all of a sudden you have this little person who depends on you and needs you to take care of them. It is a big responsability and some men AND women just can't handle that so they go. Also no one type of birth control is 100% effective in fact the only way to avoid pregnancy is to not have sex at all! I should know I was a condom baby and my mum was on the pill. Another thing is if a woman does not want to be a parent then she has the choice of adoption of abortion.

Tubal ligation and IUDs are nearly 100% effective.
Exactly NEARLY, as far as I know there is no 100% effective one, not being like critical but as far as I know.

Yeah, but we're talking like 1 in 10,000 or 100,000 or something like that. Pills and condoms have a much higher rate of failure because humans have to use them properly. There are more effective means.
The only 100% effective way isn't to not have sex; it's to not come into contact with sperm while you're ovulating.
Once again, you need to took at the problem.

Is he just a bum or whatever?

could their be a reason for it? Is he scared of problems with her or family.

Most of the time, yes people need to take care of their children. half and half.

Very rare situations it might be different for real reasons.

Yes I agree unless their is a real problem

I think when most men abandon the situation it isn't necessarily because they don't want the baby, or the responsibility. It could be just simply because they had no feelings for the woman other than sexual and they don't want to be trapped with some woman they don't care about.
