Does using the special brush in the uggs sheepskin kit take off the coloring?

I just bought brand new Chestnut Uggs. As I was putting on the protector spay, I brushed them with the special brush that comes with the sheepskin kit. When I looked at the brush when I finished, I saw some of the color on the bristles. I then looked at my Uggs and saw they slightly turned white. Scared, I sprayed more and more protector on them, thinking the color will darken. Did I ruin my precious new Uggs?
