How can I get this girl to go out with me?

Okay, we went to school for four years together (5th to 8th grade)...I started liking her in the end of sixth grade, and started being nice to her and talking to her a little...we didn't talk over the summer, or much in seventh grade...it really started to become a friendship in the eighth grade...I think it's pretty obvious she liked me cuz she always came to sit near me or make songs about me or be really nice to me or do projects with me etc...at the end of the year, I helped her a lot with her project...we were talking almost on a nightly basis but I never said I liked her or whatever...we continued to talk online over the summer a little, whenever we were both online and available to talk...and I went to like two movies with her and a couple of my other friends...now it's first year of high school and we've talked about 15 times since september, and haven't seen each other...our conversations have been kinda short. I still really like her, but I'm really close with her and would find it awkward or weird to tell her how I feel...any help? I feel like I'm in the "friend zone" and don't know how to make it "more"? By the way, we are both 14.

At this time do not tell her how you feel. Wait.
From the experiences I had, I would ask her to hang out and do something you both like to do.

Do not talk about feelings and dating at all, yet. (you might scare her away)
Just be her friend and get close that way.
If she likes(or starts liking) you the same way, most girls will tell you how they feel.
Now you can go with it.

You lead the friendship closer.
Let her lead the dating, and if it doesn't work out now, it could in 5 months, 1 yr, or longer. Besides you will be meeting many girls, so do not worry.

I hope it works. I just know when you are young sometimes girls might get scared of the following terms: Dating, relationship, love,etc...
Let them figure out they like you which friendship should assure emotional feelings.
