Inexspensive birthday gift ideas?

My friends birthday is coming up but with Christmas here as well I'm pretty much broke with buying everybody presents. Does anyone have any ideas?

Try some original ideas. Maybe a card, along with something homemade with the materials you have at home. Draw something, or record a video of you doing something silly, or singing for them. It's the thought that counts, not the gift itself. Your friends should understand.
