Fat burning belts question

Waist trimmers, belly belts, fat burning belts. Whatever you call 'em, it's those bands you wear while working out to sweat and keep off water weight. I've been thinking about getting one, if I do get one and use it regularly, will it keep off my belly fat and keep me trim? Also, I just wanna lose weight on my belly; I'm very skinny in all other places besides my belly.

Those belts are gimmicks. You can't target just your belly. Our bodies lose fat proportionally and according to their own rationale depending on our genetics. Do cardio to melt fat. Intervals seem to produce faster results. If you eat a salty diet, nix that and see what happens. Your belly could just be retaining water. People who want to target their bellies, do silly things like a million crunches thinking they're spot reducing or nonsense like that. What you're really doing is bulking up the muscles under your belly fat and poking it out farther.

If you're "working out," that will help. But how does putting something on that will keep the sweat from evaporating help? It's what's going on inside that counts. The fat on your belly is fat just like what's on the bodies of all of us that consume more calories than we burn. (Said Rob, as he laid his hefty slice of pizza down to type :-)).
