I'm glad for you that you've figured out one of your triggers. You learned that when you get bored, you get in trouble, and you don't want to get in trouble so you caught yourself. GOOD FOR YOU! You noticed, and you caught yourself BEFORE getting in trouble. GOOD FOR YOU! That's a lot of progress.
Sports and after-school activities are good ways to avoid boredom. Why aren't you doing those anymore?
What about a hobby? Is there something you've been interested in or always wanted to try?
Btw, I would LOVE to be bored! I'm just too busy. :-)
And another thing, boredom is ok. Being boring is ok. It's just new and uncomfortable. Being still gives you time to "be" with yourself.
