Why do I keep having dreams about having a baby?

I just turned 21, Im single, work full time and Im not a big fan of kids. Even though almost ever one I know has a kid now, I've been doing everything I can to stay baby free. I'm spoiled and love to party and have fun. I know that having a kid would cancel everything being about me and would be about them. But for the past week I've had dreams about having a baby. I loved it so much and it was a feeling of pure joy. I am confused and can not explain where this want for a baby is coming from. Can anyone help?

Dreaming about something doesn't mean it's going to happen. If you're around your friends who have babies that may prompt the maternal feelings.

There is more to life than "partying and having fun" but make sure you've worked through all that before you have a baby. That lifestyle doesn't mix with being a parent and there's no turning back once you make the commitment to be a mom. They're only babies for a few years but you'll be a mom for life.

It could mean many things. Alot of people believe dreams reflect emotions, conflicts, desires, etc. that you are experiencing subconsciously. This could mean that you are ready to settle down and have a family. It could also mean the opposite, but since your dream was depicting motherhood positively, its most likely the first.

This doesn't necessarily mean that it's going to happen. Think about what is more important to you and what makes you feel more fulfilled. If in the end you do want to have a baby, remember that your right in the sense that children mean you can't be out partying every night and sleeping in all day. Neither choices are necessarily bad, but think about your preferences and what you'll have to take on or give up depending on your decision.

This feeling will pass... but it's much harder for a baby to pass once it's here.

I am a physcologist and I know that often (though not always) dreams reflect your sub-concious desires so it could be that though dont KNOW it your mind could be thinking a bout having a child.The easiest way to avoid having kids? though it seems obvious avoid sex

I think this is the time to have a partner settle down and have a famliy and 1 or 2 kids.
