My friend needs help with focus

Everytime I try to talk to her about something she starts talking about this boy she likes but he HATES her I keep telling her to forget it for a bit leave him alone but everyday I get 5 conversations out of her about him when I'm talking about something totally oposite. how can I get her to stop making me hear 5 conversations about him????????

She can't make you listen. When you listen to her, you are making a choice. You can't make her do anything, but you can choose to either listen or stop listening.
