Just need alittle help on my drama task! would love some help. please

ok im doing a drama play, its a monologue and im playing a psycho mother with a 5 year old child, I need some tips on how to be a psycho mother, any ideas on what I can do, I will accept anything just really need some help...PLEASE <3

This might not be the best advice but I hope it helps.
There is a Stephen King book named Carrie if you research it and find out about her mother then it might just help you in knowing how to act. I hope this has helped you and I told my friend to do something similar to this when he had to play an escaped mental patient and he got a great grade. :-)

Watch the Bette Davis/Olivia DeHavand movie, "Hush sweet Charlotte" or "Whatever happened to Baby Jane?" They don't involve children but will give you some ideas. It would be better to view the entire movies but here's some clips:
