Is there a service for adults who are estranged from their mothers, to meet a new one?

I don't mean to overstep. I used to want a new mother, like a nice one. In my experience I think it's better to work on the issues that make me want a new mom in therapy. You set yourself up for mor pain when u look to others to fulfill emotional needs. No one can give u what's "missing."

Services are necessary to pair children with adults to serve as foster parents, Big Brothers and Sisters etc. to protect the child. By the time a person reaches adulthood they have formed ideas and attitudes that require a special chemistry to develop that kind of relationship. I would advise you to look around you for someone that you view as fitting that mold and make friends with them. That would surely work better than having a service assign someone that may or may not be compatible with you.
