Road trip to get the love of my life back where should we stop thats romantic?

My ex-fiancee and I are going on a road trip at the end of December. Leaving maine and going to florida. The road trip is to try and win him back but he thinks time apart is better. But we havent spent much time together so the trip is to prove to him I still love him. I need places or one good place that is romantic enough like a scenic view or some where where I can tell him I do love him more than anything and want him back. Any one have any good suggestions? Again We are leaving from southern maine and driving to florida.

In December most all of the scenic beauty will have turned brown all the way south and you may encounter bad weather. I'd head straight for Florida. Maybe on the west side or the Panhandle like Panama City. Beautiful white beaches, warm green water and best of all, gorgeous sunsets. If a Panama City sunset doesn't put that look in his eye he's a lost cause. :-)
