You need to provide more information. Does the mic work with other applications? is it an internal or external mic? is the imac selected for internal or external in Settings > Sound > Input ?
Thanks for responding I've tried all different combinations of mic set up between Mac & RS, but none have worked. RS provided a headset. From readIng other posts on help websites it appears this is a common problem. seems like Mac is competing w/RS mic. One suggestion was to try iPhone earbuds w/mic. I'll try that today. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
I have read some help comments that say there are compatibility problems between Lion and Rosetta Stone. Call 1-800-767-3882. That may be the sales number for Rosetta Stone rather than tech support but they should be able to connect you with them.
