If she changed her mind after she went home, that sounds like her parents could have some objections. Maybe something like an age difference between you and their daughter? I would talk to her in an understanding way and tell her you are really sorry she's not going. She may explain why.

We're both in the same grade though, and I believe we're both the same religion.
If she acts like she likes you but she's never dated before, or if you have green hair or just got out of juvie, those would be votes for the parents nixing it. Also saying she couldn't make it, "at all." sounds like she's not going with anybody.
If she has dated before, doesn't seem into you that much or is very popular, that points toward the possibility that she got a better offer. Regardless, only she knows the answer so the next step is to ask her.
