What assumption does the brickmaker make about kurtz and marlow (Heart of Darkness)?

The brickmaker assumed they were doing their homework but in reality Kurtz and Marlow were on Ehelp looking for someone to do it for them. Their behavior caused the teacher's heart to become very dark but the brickmaker learned not to make assumptions and lived happily ever-after. A sad tale but true. :-)
