Lip herpes

hello! ive got herpes on my lower lip and I added on toothpaste because I heard that after 2 days it desapears, so I tried and it's stinging, I guess thats good, I need it to go before friday! will that work? if not then what shall I do
p.s it appeared yesterday at around 10 o'clock of the morning

I have no idea how effective toothpaste is since I've read that it works for some people and not for others.
