While pregnant and on bedrest my employer has messed my pay regularly. what are my options?

I work for the government. They have failed to pay me entirely, taken weeks at a time to rectify it. I have been hospitalized often over the course of this pregnancy and the stress that payroll has continually put me through is complicating my condition. E-mails go unanswered for weeks. Once payroll acknowledges their errors, I am asked to be patient while they rectify them (to the tune of weeks). what are my options?

Your options would depend on what government you work for. It seems to me, the best solution would be to use a charge card or arrange a short term loan to pay your bills until they get it straight.
