Why does the screen go blank when I move the mouse

Any slight movement the screen will be blank

If you can see to get there, go to Start> Control Panel> Mouse> Hardware> Properties> Advanced Settings then click on the 'Defaults' button at the bottom right.

If you can't see the screen, reboot it holding down the F8 key and select Safe Mode, then try again.

If that doesn't help please provide more detailed information including answers to the following:

By "Blank" do you meant it turns black or to the normal background color?
Does the entire screen go blank or just the application you're running?
After it goes blank, what makes it return to normal and how long does it take?
